Prospective parents are always welcome, by appointment, to visit the school to see the vibrant, happy and caring environment in which our children learn. Your visit will give you the opportunity to find out more about the school, to ask any questions you may have and for you to see first hand why we are so proud of our school and of our children. First Admission to Reception Class
Parents who wish to apply for a place for their child for the September Reception Class intake will need to apply online to Warrington Borough Council. For children born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020, parents need to apply for a primary school place for September 2024 – online applications are open from 1 September 2023 up until midnight on 15 January 2024. Please visit Warrington Borough Council School Admissions to view the primary school information booklet, supporting information and the online application form. You will also need to complete the school’s own application form and the Archdiocese Supplementary Faith form. These two forms are available below and should be returned directly to the school once completed. Forms are also available to collect from the school office.
Induction
If you are successful in securing a Reception place for your child, shortly after you receive the offer letter we will invite you to a programme of induction activities in the summer term. We will also advise you of the induction arrangements for your child’s first few weeks in school in September as they make the transition from nursery to primary school.
New Reception Class 2024 – dates for your diary:
Thursday 20th June 2024 – parent/carer induction meeting 2pm
Tuesday 25th June 2024 – parent/carer 1:1 meetings with the Reception Class Teacher
Wednesday 26th June 2024 – parent/carer 1:1 meetings with the Reception Class Teacher
Friday 5th July 2024 – induction session 1 for the children in school
Friday 12th July 2024 – induction session 2 for the children in school
In-Year Admissions
If you wish to apply for a place to transfer your child from another school, you will need to contact the Warrington Borough Council Admissions Team at schooladmissions@warrington.gov.uk or on 01925 446226. Over-subscription
Where the number of applications exceeds the number of available places, the following agreed oversubscription criteria will be applied.
- Looked After Children and previously Looked After Children.
- Baptised Catholic children who have a sibling in the school at the time of admission.
- Baptised Catholic children resident in the parish of St Oswald.
- Other baptised Catholic children.
- Other children who have a sibling in the school at the time of admission.
- Children from other Christian denominations. Proof of Baptism in the form of a Baptismal Certificate or confirmation in writing that the applicant is a member of their Faith community from an appropriate Minister of Religion is required.
- Children of other faiths. An appropriate Faith Leader would need to confirm in writing that the applicant is a member of their faith group.
- Other children.
